06. July 2026
Over the weekend of 4-5 July 2026, I completed another Mapillary capture campaign with the 360-degree camera mounted on top of the car.
The main focus was still Tournai city centre. The priority remains to close the gaps inside the boulevards with useful 360-degree imagery, street by street, rather than simply increase the total number of kilometres captured.
I also used the same setup to capture a smaller amount of imagery in Gaurain-Ramecroix, Vezon, and Barry. These passes were not intended to complete those areas yet, but they should provide new material for the next coverage refresh once Mapillary finishes processing and exposes the imagery through the public API.
For now, this campaign should be treated as field work in progress. The next useful step is to wait until the sequences become visible on Mapillary, then rerun the local refresh and compare the updated coverage maps against the field route.
